Westphal & Company adds Sustainability to Bus Stops

Westphal significantly contributed to the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s transit system by providing installation services for 11 bus shelters. This project not only improved the aesthetic and functional aspects of the bus stops but also introduced a sustainable energy solution. By adhering solar modules atop these shelters, Westphal has enabled the harnessing of solar energy to charge batteries that power the bus schedule display screens. This eco-friendly approach ensures that commuters at UW Madison have access to real-time bus schedules while promoting the use of renewable energy sources, thus marking a significant step towards sustainable urban transit solutions.
